Little Lou's BBQ
Syndicate of Sound Presents 1966 - Two Shows; 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM
2455 South Winchester
Campbell, CA 95008
408-796-7852
Price: $30, Show and BBQ Dinner, Drinks Not Included

If there were better years for Pop Music than 1965-1966-1967, there sure weren’t very many. According to Billboard Magazine, 1966 was the most productive year for Top Ten hits in the history of Rock and Roll (1955-1993). No need to dive into a list offered as proof; those of you who know the era, its music and artists, know what I am talking about! Those that don’t, you had better believe it!
And so it is with great pleasure that Shake Dancer Productions and the Syndicate of Sound proudly present: “THE SYNDICATE OF SOUND – 1966.” Of course, SOS was firmly embedded in that time; they scored a HUGE hit with “LITTLE GIRL,” toured with some of the biggest acts of the era and made appearances on the rock music TV shows of the day. (“Little Girl” plays on a repeating loop in the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME in Cleveland and many credit the band as being one of the harbingers of what became known as “psychedelic” music that had begun to evolve in the S. F. Bay Area.)

With dancers, anecdotes and stories from “back in the day” -- and, of course, the live music played by one of the bands that was actually THERE, you don’t just have a concert or show. You have what we used to call “a happening!”

This live event is further enhanced by the group bringing along one of their celebrity friends from those days, Kenn Ellner, another Bay Area alumnus from “Count V” performing his huge hit, “Psychotic Reaction.” (Those two bands were friendly competitors at the time!) So, hop in the “hot rod” and take a rock & roll ride back to 1966 with the one and only “SYNDICATE OF SOUND.” This is one road trip you won’t want to miss!
